Welcome to Over a Cup of Tea ...
As we said good-bye to 2013 many of us set about making plans, setting goals/intentions or making New Year resolutions. How is it going?
Being healthier was one of the intentions I set for 2014 ~ and being more active is an ACTION that will help me achieve this.
I have recently enrolled -and have been attending- weekly bAAArre classes, I'm also practicing yoga regularly - 2-3 times per week. I'm starting to feel the benefits of being active and it's only been 2 weeks. I'm looking forward to making being more active part of my lifestyle.
If you are not on track - What is holding you back from achieving what you set out to do?
If you are I hope that you will share what worked for you to getting started in the comments.
It is amazing what can happen over a cup of tea, when you sit back in a comfy chair - wrap your hands around your teacup; take in the warmth and scent of your fresh brew; and for a few minutes in your day allow your mind to drift and dream of how you would like your life to be. All the while this nectar from the Gods known as tea slips it's way past your pearly whites, over your taste buds nurturing your body and soul.
What is ONE thing that you could do today that will get you on track?
Hugs,
Stay in Step with High Heeled Life ...

Wonderful post and photos. The tea set is lovely. I would like to join a yoga class, you may have given me the push I needed. Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteYES! YES! Yoga is a fabulous way to work on both body and mind .... make it happen you will feel amazing. hugs, C.
DeleteDue to a frozen shoulder in 1999 I joined a health club with exercises showed to me by a physical therapist and I have been a member ever since, and enjoy it. Find exercise you enjoy. I can see you enjoy the barre exercise, that is key to continuing. Have a healthy 2014.
ReplyDeleteHi Celia,
ReplyDeleteI have spent the past year going to a physical therapist who has shown me exercises for my back and my overall health. I've learned a lot and am almost pain free most days. Tea is my beverage of choice for relaxing and I love how may flavours and kinds one can choose from. Sounds like you have set some very healthy goals for yourself. I wish you well, my friend. Thank you for coming to tea and helping me to celebrate my tea party anniversary. Have a wonderful week.
Blessings,
Sandi
Oh, I forgot to mention that your teacup is just stunning! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteTea is an elixir of tranquility as far as I'm concerned...I love a relaxing cuppa...and even get health benefits! Your post has a great focus and lovely photos. I love your pretty teacup! Thanks for sharing such an encouraging post for the New Year and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Your teacup is beautiful, Celia. You are an inspiration! So glad you are getting more active and feeling better. I don't make New Year's resolutions; I have ongoing things that I work on. Our pastor has challenged us to not just "do good" but to reach out to share the gospel of Christ.
ReplyDeleteCelia, beautiful, inspiring post. Gorgeous green teacup (green is my favorite color). Nothing like a cup of tea to settle the mind and body and get the day going (or end the day)! Happy Tea Day!
ReplyDeletePretty green teacup Celia. I don't make resolutions, just try to carry on in a healthy and happy way of life.
ReplyDeleteI can get up off my bootie and walk away from this computer and do my resistance training. Son bought me a medicine ball (looks like a basketball but weighs a lot). It's a beautiful day today so I am going outside to bounce it off the side of the house and catch it - a lot harder than it sounds! So fresh air, exercise then come in and have a cuppa. Well, look what you inspired me to do - thank you!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl!!! .... one step at a time, one day at a time we will stay healthy and build our energy reserves..hugs, c.
Deletebeautiful teacup! I am thinking about exercise . . . but thinking only just doesn't do it! Everyone tells me yoga is great.
ReplyDeleteDearest Celia,
ReplyDeleteMy goal is for getting on track come March... by that time we will have mastered most big projects and can enjoy our walking, biking etc. There is only so much time in a day and also so much time is being wasted when waiting for others to do a certain job. Never mind, the clock is ticking fast but the end is in sight.
Hope you both are also managing things well. Never easy to juggle it all!
Hugs,
Mariette
What are those sweets??!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to barre yet. Or yoga. I'm awful.
:) the sweets are from the Greek bakery down the street.... after all the hard work of staying active a girl needs a honey soaked treat.... and I was good only had two!!
DeleteOh what a dear post! It is lovely to stop by and see the beautiful tea cup you are sharing today. My best thing to do for myself is to be as present as possible.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Terri
