Change of Season ....and a Long Week-end

With the ending of  each season comes the beginning of a new. Though autumn will not officially arrive until September 21st the warm days and crisp evenings remind us that a change of season will soon be upon us.

Much like the seasons when things come to an end in our life, we need to look towards the NEW that awaits us. For new beginnings come from another beginnings end.

This does not mean that one forgets the life they lived before or all that has happened ~ happiness, love, sadness, hurt, betrayal, forgiveness, appreciation, illness, good health, wealth or poverty. It means we are blessed to have experienced and learned so much from each one. But it's time to move forward and embrace the new, the unknown, the unwritten and to create a better YOU and life!

HAPPY LABOUR DAY!!! may everyone have a wonderful and safe long week-end!

You will start to see some blog changes occuring over the next couple of weeks and regular posting will return by mid September, here at High Heeled Life. I have missed you all and look forward to catching up on blog visits. Welcome to new High Heeled Life readers!

  2. To me labour day heralds the beginning of Fall. The cozy, snugglier time of year. The time for nesting.. warmer colours in the decor , soups, apples and pumpkins!! The smells of fresh baked apples and cinnamon..
Can you tell I am a lover of Fall.
    Cheers, Gee

  5. Hello Celia
Happy Labour Day! We have come up to North Bay to stay with our # 1 daughter and family for the weekend. Hope you have a pleasant holiday too. My blogging has been a little sporadic this past month and I hope to get back to regular posting myself.

  6. Dearest Celia,

You are so right, the crispness of the evenings is a forebode of the change in season that is about to come...
Love the way you summed up all of life's emotions. So true and we have to move on, continuing our journey through life. The great thing is however that we're never alone on that long and oftentimes difficult road.
Happy Labour Day to you as well.
Hugs to you both and enjoy your weekend.

  7. Happy Autumn, Celia! Although I'm sad to say goodbye to summer, I love this time of year. I just posted the same topic today ;)
With so many projects in the works at school, I feel like I don't get to enjoy the season as much I would like to. I already have so much coming due and it's only the second week!
Wishing you a most lovely holiday weekend, mon ami! xoxo, B

  8. Happy Labor Day Weekend to you! We celebrated it in the US, but not in the UK - I do miss the BBQs and pool time to mark the end of summer. Have a good one!

  9. Truthfully, I love September most. We don't quite have to say goodbye to summer and yet the signs of fall's arrival are everywhere. Warm days and cool nights... what's not to love about this?!

  11. Well, I was surprised. Thanks for the history lession. Until I read your post and then followed up by checking the facts in google, I had never hear of our fourth prime minister John Thompson. Who knew? Very interesting.
