Welcome to Over a Cup of Tea with Celia M.
Chakra Series ~ 3 of 7
This week I have chosen this beautiful Paragon bone china teacup made in England for its yellow colour which is the same color of our third chakra known as the Solar Plexus Chakra.
Third Chakra - The Solar Plexus Chakra ~ aka the Manipura is located at the diaphragm. is associated with our physical center, personal power, desire, inner-strength, emotions, instincts, and “gut” feelings.
If the solar plexus chakra becomes unbalanced, you may feel very stressed all the time and powerless to gain control, leaving you mentally and physically exhausted. You may have “gut” feelings but are not sure of what or where they are coming from, contributing to your distress and discomfort. The stress of an unbalanced solar plexus chakra also contributes to poor memory and concentration.
Symptoms of Imbalance:
Emotional : lack of memory and concentration, frequent fearing, feeling uncentered, sugar addictions, insomnia, anger, lack of motivation, no willpower, need to control, low self esteem, submissive.
Physical : digestive and digestive disorders, indigestion, food allergies, eating disorders, poor metabolism, diabetes, obesity, eczema, acne, and other stress-related skin conditions.
Three simple ways to help balance your Solar Plexus Chakra:
~Strengthen your core by doing planks. Start by lying on the floor, face down. Place your hands below your shoulders, arms straight. With toes curled under, gently lift the entire body off the floor- making sure body and legs are in a straight line parallel to the floor. Hold for at least 60 seconds. Repeat three times.
~ Steep a cup of tea lemon peel, chicory root, ginger, lemongrass, lemon balm, orange peel, hibiscus, cinnamon and coriander blend repeat the following affirmations as you sip your tea:
I am the power of peace
I am the power in the presence of God
I am making a difference in my life and the life of others
I express my power with great peace
I am at home with my power
I know the power of me is making a difference
~ Sit comfortably, feet flat on the ground, close your eyes and visualize a yellow disk/ball spinning at your belly - feel the vibration and motion of it spinning gently, breath in and out - with each breath the disk/ball becomes stronger, and more brilliant filling your whole abdomen and spins at a consistent speed smoothly and balanced.
Benefits of balancing and opening the solar plexus chakra allows you to feel peaceful in your mind, body, and spirit. Relaxed and comfortable in your own skin. The energy of this chakra permeates to the other chakras relieving many physical and psychological diseases or disorders. It allows you to be more aware of your own energy and being, comfortable in your decisions, and psychically connected to your “gut” feelings so that you may act accordingly with confidence.
