Welcome to Over a Cup of Tea with Celia M.
Chakra Series ~ 2 of 7
This week I have chosen this beautiful Aynsley bone china teacup made in England for its orange colour which is the same color of our second chakra known as the SACRAL Chakra.
Second Chakra - The Sacral Chakra ~ aka the Svadhisthana , is located in the lower abdomen, below the navel is a power center directly related to sexuality, creativity, and emotions.
If the sacral chakra becomes unbalanced, you will have a lack of energy flow throughout the entire body. You might not be open to people in general. If your Sacral Chakra is weak, you struggle with a healthy self-image.You may feel extremely lethargic and lacking interest for life, particularly exercise and sex.
Symptoms of Imbalance:
Emotional : Eating disorders, addictions, low self-confidence, dependency issues, low libido, and unbalanced emotions.
Physical : kidney problems and urinary tract infections, chronic lower back pain, sexual disorders, infertility, gynecological problems, dysfunctional menstrual cycles, and problems with the intestines, spleen, and gallbladder.
Three simple ways to help balance your Sacral Chakra:
~Sit comfortably, cross legged. Inhale, pushing the tip of your spine backward, opening the front of your sacrum, expanding and filling your lower belly. Imagine you are stretching your hips wide. Exhale, moving your sacrum in the opposite direction, pressing the navel back toward the spine. Repeat, building up speed as you go. Allow the fluidity of this pelvic movement to flow all the way up the spine.
~ Steep a cup of green tea, orange, apple, pear, mango, rose hips, hibiscus blend and repeat the following affirmations as you sip your tea:
I am connected with my creative source
I am creating beautiful experiences in my life
I am comfortable receiving love
I am comfortable in my relationships
I am enough
~ Sit comfortably, feet flat on the ground, close your eyes and visualize an orange disk/ball spinning in the lower abdomen, below the navel - feel the vibration and motion of it spinning gently, breath in and out - with each breath the disk/ball becomes stronger and spins at a consistent speed smoothly and balanced.
Benefits of balancing and opening the sacral chakra allows you to feel energized and confident in all aspects of your life. You feel inspired and life seems to flow. People are attracted to your positive energy and opportunities open for you. With a healthy sacral chakra, you are able to live in the moment and experience life to the fullest. Physical tasks become easier while stamina increases.
Would love for you to share in the comments additional tips you may have tried
that also help to balance the sacral chakra.

Lovely post C. I have just found Kundalini yoga which also helps with this particular chakra.
ReplyDeleteDearest Celia,
ReplyDeleteGuess your description of the Sacral Chakra does not need to have anything added... Sounds all very logic too and being in balance is so important for our overall health. Let's stay in the 'optimum' for years to come!
Hugs to you both.
Mariette
