I am not much of a French onion soup gal ... but I did try Mr,.G's and it was impressive.
Mr. G. is a true connoisseur and he was still raving about how amazing it was the next day.
Mr. G. went for the Steak and Frites
the beef is raised naturally, hormone & antibiotic free in Grey County
Moi .. 3 cheese omelet topped with truffles ..
YUM! does not begin to describe how pleased I was with my choice!

We got our dessert to go from the boulangerie - and forgot to take photos before devouring the mouth watering works of art, so I'm including a photo of the Passion Fruit Soufflé from summer visit, which I highly recommend you try. It is as scrumptious as it looks!

I think Cluny's is going to be on the list of our favourite places to dine.

I adore French Onion Soup (yes it is worthy of capitalization!). This one looks ah-mazing! I love the look of this place - wish I lived nearby. You always send my mouth into shock and salivation with your beautiful pictures!! We here are working on making our at-home meals more special instead of "slam the food down your gullet" meals. Setting with the fine china and silver, linen napkins, crystal - otherwise it just sits in the china cabinet, wasting away and useless! My mom kept her stuff in storage for over 30 years because she had no place to store it - she finally got smart and unpacked and began using the good things. I am not going to do that - you inspire me to USE the good stuff!

ReplyDeleteYou sure are very blessed for living in the city! That looks really like a nice French restaurant with elegance and also healthy food to chose from I noticed on their menu. Sure they can be very proud for the mention of their excellence in USA Today!
