Last week Mr. G and I had the opportunity to escape for a day to L.A. after my NLP seminar in Las Vegas. The tour brochure said Rodeo Dr., Santa Monica Pier, and Hollywood sign and few other attractions. Well lets just say the brochure LIED!!! ...
We did however get to see the work in progress for the Oscar's Sunday night. This is what the Dobly Theatre looked like a few days ago ...
We did get a good view of the Hollywood sign from the 4th floor balcony of the Dolby Theatre.
We did drive down Rodeo Dr. - but no stopping to shop, enjoy a restaurant or even get out and walk around for a few minutes. I did manage to see Tiffany & Co as we swooshed by...
I did get to meditate on the beach at Santa Monica Pier.
L.A. I will be back!!!!

Dearest Celia,
ReplyDeleteOh those brochures; don't they all lie...
But you got some nice photos at least and also the meditation on the Santa Monica beach is lovely!
Wishing you a happy Sunday together and relax.
I'm still adjusting to life on this side of the Ocean and for letting go of emotions...
Never easy to say goodbye to your Parents!
Hugs,
Mariette
I've never been on a tour and don't like the concept. And then they lied to you, now that's most irritating. I hope your ocean side meditation brought you some bliss.
ReplyDeleteI lived in Beverly Hills for awhile. When I saw 80-year old women wearing lucite heels with goldfish inside I knew I needed to return to Texas! I love Northern California the best. You look adorable sitting on the beach. Great shot!

Sounds like a fun time sightseeing around L.A. I love the beach shot.. Thanks for sharing your visit. Enjoy your new week, Happy March!
ReplyDeleteThe last shot is the best shot. That is all I ever want to see when we go to coasts - WATER! I sat on our condo balcony almost the entire time we were on vacation. Just in awe. Especially the sunsets and sunrises - I took so many pictures that I need to get them blown up and framed! thought Tiffany's would look more imposing or something... more.
ReplyDeleteWe so enjoyed that area a couple of years ago. I'm not a Hollywood fan, but I loved the views and the weather.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely need to go back! So much fun! xo
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, I really thought that was you with Johnny Depp! I missed the whole thing, Oscars that is, sorry now.
