Dolce and Gabbana Adventures - WoofStock Toronto

Finally Mother Nature is blessing us with fabulous 29+ degree C. temps this week-end!!! and what better way to spend this sun filled day with Dolce and Gabbana? of course by attending WOOFSTOCK, North America's largest outdoor festival for dogs - right here in Toronto!!! - Who knew?

All types of dogs bring their human parents out for a day of tail wagging, butt sniffing and licking. Not to mention all the activities and events: wiener dog races, running of the pugs, Purina Pro Plan dog stars, stupid dog trick contest, Mr. and Mrs. Canine Canada Pageant, Ultimutts stunt dog show, best costume contest and of course Woofstock fashion show.

There are even some watering holes for the human parents ... Tito's Vodka was a huge hit.

Dolce and Gabbana sniffed and were sniffed by many new barkfriends...

Though we missed the doggie fashion show ... we did catch some of the tricks ... it was hilarious!

There was even a little Super Hero.... too adorable .. Toddlers and doggies need I say more?

Doggie strollers everywhere ....

Gabbana watching the doggie tricks...

Dolce waiting in line for a treat ...

This was definitely a fun event and one Mr. G and I will mark on our calendar to attend again next year. Miss Gabbana is already planning her fashion show attire.

Hugs and Blessings,

Look Who Turned 2 Years Old ....

Our little Gabbana turned 2 today!!!

This was Gabbana when she came to live with us in April 2012...she has lightened up so much over the past two years...

From day one she was a ball of energy ...keeping up with big brother Dolce...
and big sister Stella...
In 2013 she had a bath at home ... and decided that Dave the Groomer does it better!!
In 2013 Gabbana started to enjoy car rides (no more car sickness)
to the city and stroller rides along the waterfront with Dolce.

Gabbana and Dolce ....

Gabbana is such a girlie girl!!! In her birthday dress and playing with her "doggie" toy...

Happy Birthday to our little darling furbaby!!!

One Pair of Jeans - 3 Outfits

Spending more time at our city home (and it's significant smaller closets) has been a great kick start (not by choice) to my wardrobe simplification. Especially since the renovations in the upstairs bedrooms is currently underway - and Mr. G. and I are having to share a closet that is designed for one (which is really a rolling rack).

Deciding to end 2013 and begin 2014 in the city I decided to bring only 2 pairs of jeans. One pair being my straight leg Miss Me jeans. To maximize space in my week-ender bag I decided to wear them down to the city house with my light brown wool Dolce and Gabbana sweater.
This ribbon and glass leaf pendant were a gift from my Frenchie friend Victoria - I'm amazed how many times I actually reach for it. Leave to a born in France gal to pick the perfect accessory.

For my feet I slipped on my Michael Kors booties from a few seasons ago.

A few days later .... it was New Year's Eve ...and again I reached for my Miss Me jeans to ring in the new year at a friend's home. And created a new outfit by wearing a blue wool blend sweater; accessories - black cord and metal pendant a gift from Angel P's mom from her trip to Vancouver; a protection-eye bead bracelet from a Turkish market my friend Janice brought back from her trip for me; blue wool scarf with white pinstripes- bday gift from friend Victoria; Tiffany charm bracelet; Hermes H-buckle belt and Cartier Tank Francaise watch - thank you Mr. G. for such a fabulous and perferct bday gift.

New Year's Day ... I decided to wear the Miss Me jeans again. This time I paired them with a brown Ralph Lauren sweater; a leopard and equestrian print scarf; for accessories - Tiffany charm bracelet; Cartier tank watch; a protection-eye bead bracelet; Coach bangle bracelet; brown Gucci sunglasses; and Burberry cap.

What item in your wardrobe do you get the most wear out of?

Hugs,

What I Wore to OpportuniTEAS with Kate Linder & Friends

Recently while in the city (Toronto) I attended OpportuniTEAS with Kate Linder & Friends in support of the March of Dimes, held at The Fairmont Hotel. Proceeds from this event go to Conductive Education a program of March of Dimes Canada.

The weather was turning a little cooler on this day so layering was essential. I wore my Dolce and Gabbana black pant which is a staple in my wardrobe. I paired the pants with my white Burberry T and my Hermes scarf from a couple of seasons ago. I accessorized with my Hermes orange enamel bracelet, Christian Bernard watch, Hermes leather belt and a black glass bead  stretch bracelet I purchased from InPink  when I won a giveaway hosted by Ava Grace's Closet this past year. The final layer before my winter coat was a black jacket by Elie Tahari.
Almost inside ...

Tickets for the event ....

Kate Linder (top left) host brought along 3 of her cast-mates from Young & the Restless to help. Jess Walton (top right); Christian LeBlance (bottom left) and Marco Dapper (bottom right).

The Co-host was Toronto's own Leslie Roberts - who is the Anchor of The News Hour and Co-host of The Morning Show, Global Toronto.

Artists to the stars - Patti Denny & George Guzman (sitting at the right) were on hand to treat lucky auction bidder to a celebrity make-over.

Our host Kate and friends sat on stage and answered questions from the audience. It was interesting listening to how passionate the viewers of The Young and the Restless are - as they asked about the various stories lines on this day time soap that celebrates 25 years.

The tablesetting for attendees was done in white... with a white rose petal table table cloth.

We were able to choose from a selection of fine Fairmont teas....

A surprise .... as this young lady spoke I realized she was the daughter a new friend I had meant earlier in the year when I completed my Angel Practitioner training with Charles Virtue (son of Doreen Virtue). Ashleigh is a brilliant soul and her question was to Marco - if he was single. Since he was - she made a good case since she too is single that they should meet up.
The tray of sweets consisted of fruit cake, cream filled swans, Victorian cream cake, and orange chocolate Madelines.

Though the event started at 2 pm... the sandwiches by the time we sat down at 2:05 pm .. had been devoured by the other attendees at our table - so I have no photo - but I understand it was a selection of Tomato cucumber, ham and onion confit, tuna scallion, smoked turkey and cranberry, egg and watercress.

Warm English honey crumpets and homemade plain and cranberry scones with thick Devonshire cream and strawberry jam.

Ashleigh was the successful bidder on a dress worn by the character Phyllis on Y&R and had the opportunity to have her photo taken with Marco.

Kate's bracelet was stunning!!!

Thank you for stopping by for tea today ...
