It has certainly been a long cold winter ... but lately it has started to feel like Mother Nature FINALLY got the memo that it's Spring!!
The first signs of spring have begun at our country home: tulips, the reveal of the forgotten (outside) bistro table and chairs and the FIRST BBQ dinner of the season ~ steak, salad and Yukon gold potatoes ...
Deer and turkey are regularly seen making their way across the road on our afternoon drives.
A little flash back reminder of how much snow there was just a couple of weeks ago...

Dearest Celia,
ReplyDeleteWhat a load of snow you show here in that last photo...
So glad that finally spring is setting in at your location! Oh, on past Saturday's drive home from the country where we all met for an Easter egg hunt for the children of our Church, I had to use the breaks for a turkey that crossed the road. They are home in their territory and we disturb them... and even more so during mating season I guess.
Deer can be seen here too, in our subdivision where woods are in patches throughout.
You had a lovely first meal off your BBQ. Hope many more will follow with lots of sunshine and quiet evenings.
Enjoy the upcoming tulips.
Sending you hugs and many blessings for a great weekend.
Mariette
Dear Celia, we have had such a long winter; however Spring has arrived, budding flowers and trees are blooming, showers are abundant in between the sunny days. Hope all is well with you!
