A Mother's Love...

As a small child living in Europe, my Mother
would always treat me to a toy from the Aristocats,
on our trips to the market.
When I came across this image...
It brought back many wonderful memories.
Happy Mother's Day , to my mom...

Mom's are truly like flowers.. they come in many shapes, sizes,
colours and all have a unique scent ...
But they all LOVE their children, unconditionally!

Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful women in the world!

What brings your mind back to childhood memories of your mother?

  1. Celia,

I hope you and Dolce get to do something fun today.

My fondest childhood memories of my mom are of cooking and shopping together. I am hoping to see her this summer so we can do a little of both.

  3. Lovely post. It's not Mother's day here because we celebrated it earlier in the year but I have had an hour's chat with my mother. (she wasn't drunk either!)
Hugs to you my dear friend

  6. The Aristocats were my favorite too. I attribute my love of cats to them. My mom would buy me the comic book and I even had the ones you color. Thanks for bringing back happy memories.
Hope you had a great Mother's day.

  9. I used to love the Aristocats. Isn't it funny how just seeing a picture of something can bring such a strong memory? What a sweet post!

  10. Dearest Celia,

About one fond memory of my Mom I did blog on Mother's Day... so that does answer the question. It is still valid for today as I checked with Mom via Skype. Made me happy... Memories and especially scents of flowers mean a lot through life!

    Lots of love,

    Mariette

  11. The Aristocats was my all time fav Disney film, and yet I have a complete phobia about cats (work that one out!!!).
I have constant memories of my mum that make me smile. I lost my mum when she was only 49 and I was only 24. So there is so much she didn't see of my life, and I often wonder what she would have made of some of decisions; even what would she have worn to my wedding. I still celebrate her every Mothers Day.

  12. Isn't it funny how a glance at a simple thing can take you back in time to a place and a feeling filled with love!? I hope Dolce's Mom had a wonderful day yesterday!
In response to your inquiry re: CA...I lived there most of my life, SF/Marin, and LA/Santa Monica. E-mail me with your thoughts/questions, I will be happy to help if I can!
    Have a great week,
    Nathalie

  13. Hello Celia,

I hope you had a wonderful Furbaby Mother's Day! Love the Aristocats! As for things that bring to mind childhood memories of my mother, sometimes it is something as simple as a smell or seeing a mother with her child doing something my mother and I did together.

    Hugs,
    Tracy
