One of the perks of being in a city like Toronto, is that there is always something happening and sometimes you get some unexpected wonderful surprises along the way. An evening that started out catching up with a long time friend over dinner turned into a magical burst of delight.
An after dinner stroll in Yorkville was filled with music from a violinist and if this was not enough, an impromptu decision to go for cappuccino and dessert at the Park Hyatt roof top patio - provided an unexpected view of fireworks from Nathan Phillips Square for the kick off of the Para Pan Am Games.

When we lived in Vermont, there was a fair we knew nothing about that spread over the commons and had dancers, musicians, and all sorts of food treats. When we went to a Pumpkin Festival in Keene, NH, we saw amazing sights. They are known in the Guinness World Book of Records as having the most lit pumpkins for several years running. The carvings on the pumpkins were amazing - the food? Almost everything was pumpkin related from ice cream to hot drinks to soup! I had no idea I'd love pumpkin soup but I'm still trying to re-create it to this day! YUM! You look beautiful and have you lost weight?
ReplyDeleteWe have friends who live in Stowe Vermont, love visiting all the farmers' markets. Thanks sweetie, the scale is not moving ( I've been hovering around 128 lbs for the past year or so - down from the high 153 lbs a couple years back) ... but I think yoga is helping to re-distribute the weight ... it's been a slow process ... but I try to remind myself that it took time to pile on, it's going to take time to shed. I would like to get down to 120-125 ...sending you hugs across the miles.
