After almost two weeks of record breaking HOT temperatures, we finally got rain!!
If it wasn't the middle of the night when the thunderstorm hit, I may have been tempted to go outside and dance in the rain!!
The roar of thunder and the ligthening show that lit up the room...
Where followed by the sound of gentle rain hitting the roof ... and then a welcoming down pour!
For the gardens are getting a much needed long and cool drink!!
If you are still in the heat wave click over to my

ReplyDeleteOooh! I LOVE the smell of the atmosphere after a summer storm. I hope it's not too long before we have a summer storm here in Spain. I haven't seen rain since about April. I would love to dance barefoot in the rain; I won't though, as the neighbours will probably call the police and get me arrested (the drawbacks of living in a traditional city!)
ReplyDeletealmost every afternoon around 4:00, the

Dearest Celia,
ReplyDeleteOh, we got heavy rains almost all night and lots during the day. I am so happy for our garden and more so for the farmers that needed a good shower so badly. Hope it will not be too late for the sun flower field near our home...
Lots of love,
Mariette
