Rainbows and Butterflies ...

Life doesn't always happen the way we planned it. Though as we become caught in the storm and it's flurry of  changes it is so easy to cry out how big it (storm) is ... when we really should  remind ourselves how big HE is. Each storm and change is meant to teach, empower, awaken and bring us closer to our purpose of being.

Sometimes the storm is horrific, down right catastrophic and the changes may leave us unrecognizable on the outside and the inside, to the naked eye. But with every downpour there is always a minute break before it pours again. It is during this miniscule break that we need to act quickly, draw on the inner strength and faith that lay dormant waiting to be released.

Remember HE is bigger than any storm or change, and He believes we are capable of greater things than we give ourselves the chance to do/be. It is through these storms and changes that we will learn, grow and discover there is a reason for everything. Even when the down power is so thick that visibility is impossible, the change(s) that takes place enables us to see clearer than we thought possible, we need only to use our heart and faith to guide us through it all.

"Rainbows are a result of powerful storms ...

and Butterflies a result of painful change!"

I have had to remind myself many times these past weeks ... and thought you may need a gentle reminder that no matter the size of the storm it will pass and rainbows and butterflies will be the result! ...

And he said to me: “My grace is sufficient for you. For virtue is perfected in weakness.”
And so, willingly shall I glory in my weaknesses, so that the virtue of Christ may live within me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
Because of this, I am pleased in my infirmity: in reproaches, in difficulties, in persecutions,
in distresses, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am powerful.2 Corinthians 12:10

  1. Celia,
I wish you peace during this time of change. Hang in there, this too shall pass. During "down" times, I always remind myself of times in the past when I thought something would Never get better....and I look back and see that it did.

  2. I think the older we get the greater the peaks and the deeper the valleys and with each alteration if course we get stronger and become a better person. A touching post and I will send light your way Celia.

  7. Dearest Celia,

Lovely post and yes, the storm will pass but the issue is that we have to make it through the storm alright.
Wishing you strength on your journey to sunny days and a big tight hug.
    Love to you,

  8. In my life, the secret to overcoming the storms is to make sure I spent time with Him, reading faith-based devotionals and books along with the Bible, and in prayer. He has made so many promises to us that we will triumph, are victorious and overcome whatever battle we face. I hold on to those promises when the muck I'm walking in seems deeper than the promises! It NEVER is.

I heard someone say once, "When the enemy is throwing trouble at you like a baseball pitch and trying to tell you that your 9 innings are up and you lose, tell him that is not true. There are as many innings as you need because we play until we win. God promised us victory. Hold out for that!"

  9. Hi Celia,
I don't like change very much, I'm afraid. I am one of those boring people who likes things to remain as they are, most of the time. But, having said that, change is a good thing when we know God is in it! He smiles down on our efforts to keep things the way they are, but if we were able to get away with it, we wouldn't learn or grow or become who we were meant to be.
So, dear friend, whatever you are going through right now, He will walk you through it. Be strong, and remember you are special! I am praying for you.

    Blessings & hugs,
    Sandi

  13. It's strange, I saw a movie yesterday where one of the heroes keep quoting this saying :"Everything is alright ....." ; I'd never heard it before but it is so true, everything will be alright in the end, whether in this life or the next one. I'd rather it were the present one though ! Hang in there, Celia, you sound like a lovely person and I'm sure there are better times ahead ; if we can help you a bit on the way, all the better ! Lots of love .XXX
