Now that Christmas has been packed up ... it's time to update the Tea Trolley in my writing area. Since the snow is finally making it's arrival (though unusually late ... I certainly was not complaining) and covering everything white, I have kept things with a little winter feel. So won't you come along and enjoy a cup of tea with me.

Tea Time with Bernideen's
This is the Winter Tea Trolley setting... Along with switching out the teapot and teacup, I have added a dress form to remind me to stay true to my healthy eating plan for 2012. I was fortunate to acquire this beauty from Marie's Maison, if you have not visited her blog and Etsy boutique, you are missing out on some wonderful inspiring photos and items for purchase.
You'll also note there is a picture of a Paris apartment ... looking out the window to the Eiffel Tower; bringing back sweet memories of my visits to the city of lights (and warm weather).
Mr. Snowman teapot is happy to be inside, it's even a bit too cold for him. His lid is an array of holly, with a sweet cardinal watching over the activities of tea.
The teacup set I have chosen to use for the January Tea Trolley setting is by Staffordshire. The bottom of the cup and saucer, have a green stamping - crown above the Staffordshire name; fine bone china below the name followed by England and then EST-1875. The bottom of the cup also has the numbers 1471/ (I think 25) .. there are 2 small gold lines on the edge of both cup and saucer bottom at rim.
The saucer is equally beautiful with a bouquet of pink roses and the rim in a soft robin's egg blue with gilded gold details. Looks perfect with the dress forms robin blue egg lace.
The teacup has a pedestal base which is also gilded, and a gilded petite handle.
Here is a closer look at the beautiful Paris scene window print. Yes, the artist is one of BlogLand's very own, Fifi Flowers ... you have not heard of her? , your are definitely missing out on some wonderful talent and wonderful prints. Fifi also does custom work and offers original paintings. To me this would be the perfect writing setting!!! A girl can dream...
I'm so happy that you were able to join me for tea today!
May I offer you some delicious lemon yogurt cake with your tea?

Hello dear Celia,
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous teacup; love it! Robin egg blue is a favourite colour of mine and with the gold, it makes such a stunning teacup! Your teapot is adorable and perfect for Winter time.

Hi Celia
ReplyDeleteI like your tea trolley and the pretty teacup with roses in the bottom. What a pleasant surprise for a guest when their tea is gone.
That snowman teapot is just too cute, adorable cardinal sitting on top too.

I love the winter tea trolley! It is so fun to decorate with snowmen to have a little fun with the snow. Is that picture on the sidebar this year? We haven't had anything more than a skiff two or three times and the ski resorts are feeling it here in Utah. Enjoy the beauty of the snow.
ReplyDeleteLove this blue teacup set and it looks so pretty with the black tea in it. Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually having some besties for tea today... wish you were closer and could join us!! xo
ReplyDeleteParis in the spring! A girl can dream! I love using the dress form as a way to spur on the healthy eating habits. Well done! Love your snowman teapot (but I do love snow people). Beautiful teacup ... gorgeous pattern. Happy Tea Day!
ReplyDeleteYour teapot is adorbs!
ReplyDeleteI so need to get my Fifi print framed! Le sigh it's so low on my priority list...perhaps I will get it to go with my new living room!
Hi Celia,
ReplyDeleteyour tea trolley looks so beautiful. Nice idea to change the decoration with the season. The tea cup is wonderful and so is Fifi's painting. Adds a French flair to your room. Thank you for the delightful tea and cake. I enjoyed the tea time very much.
