Toronto's LG Fashion Week ~ Opening Show

Thanks to my bestie Janice, we were seat 4th row to the By-invitation only fashion show, presented by Holt Renfrew (my fav shopping place ) at LG Fashion Week. The show was a medley of 11 of Canada's finest brands (Canada Goose;Denis Gagnon;Ezra Constantine; Greta Constantine;Jeremy Laing; Lida Baday (one of my fav's);Pink Tartan (a new fav of mine); Smythe;Todd Lynn;TwentyCluny and Wings+Horns.

This purple Birkin certainly caught my eye...


I'm definitely going to try on this jacket!!!

    Sounds like you had a fab time, super pictures! And I agree that sometimes the ones sitting and watching the runway are just as fashionable as the ones walking down it!
    Hope all is well with you and that you are enjoying the little rays of sunshine that have blessed us for the last couple of days!

    Dearest Celia,

    Wow, you are in the center-lane of LIFE girl! How lucky to have a seat in the 4th row. When our boss in Jakarta did find out that I'd studied fashion as my formal education, he arranged a super evening for all of us. We got off the plane with a group of Mannequins (Models...) from Yves Saint Laurent who came from Bangkok and did a whirling runway show that evening. We were seated at a round table AT the runway, right up front. We could see those mannequins kick off their heels and change in no time. It's hard work behind the 'coulisse'... But I enjoyed it tremendously; if only my former teachers could have seen me there!
    Good for you and it is a perfect group to mingle with; kindred spirits that go for quality that lasts and lasts.

    Oh Celia how wonderful! The pictures are fantastic too. I would love to have been there. I have a secret desire to stride down a catwalk (in a very Facing50 way) and have my moment of glamour. I practise the walk along my hallway and get to the end where I throw a haughty glance at the audience. (ahhh!)
    As you know I've been a bit poorly so this is the first I've seen of your transformed blog and 'oooh, oooh, oooh, oooh!' (said in a panting manner) I think it is amazing. That's it, there's only one thing for it and I shall have to organise a facelift.
    I am strangely drawn back to those marvellous black shoes. I think they'd look great on me as I strut about the village post office.

    My problem is not having the right sort of attire to come round here...I live in jeans and my shoes are always selected with comfort in mind! "Stylish" is not in my vocabulary...so I was hesitant, in case I lowered the tone or got thrown out.
