When we planned our 2010 trip to Paris , afternoon tea at the Ritz was on the top three things of my must experience list. And it was truly a memorable experience!
The staff was very attentive and when the sand glass timer released the last grain of sand, they appeared like magic to pour our tea. Cozies were placed over the tea pots to keep its delicate, precious contents warm.
Unlike the selection of petit four that accompany afternoon tea, across many Toronto tea rooms, the Ritz had a full "Dessert Buffet". A dream for this sweet tooth gal - as you can go up as many times as it takes to fill that sweet tooth.
After our wonderful tea, Mr. G. and I took a little stroll through the gardens. The beautifully manicured grounds were breath taking.
It was a beautiful warm spring day (we were there in early May) and we were seated in the garden. A pianist played softly in the background, birds chirped and you really felt like you were in a magical place.
If afternoon tea at The Ritz Paris is on your must experience list I highly suggest you make reservations before you leave, as seating fills up weeks in advance.
