Fashionista in Training

There is nothing more fun than shopping ... Except shopping with a future Fashionista!!!

Just before school started, Miss M. came to stay with us in the country for a week. She is growing up so fast!
To be able to see the world through her eyes and thoughts on things, is a true blessing.

Miss M. couldn't wait to show Uncle G. her new rain boots... Dolce decided he would give her a little paw assistance.

She picked the purple boots and choose the pink sock inserts ...

Looking ready for any school rainy days!!
Browns is her NEW favourite shoe boutique ...

I think Dolce approves... But where is Miss Gabbana??

AHA! .... Gabbana!!!

PAPER? What Paper?

Seriously ....How Cute ?

Dolce, is our 4 legged, hairy baby and I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am that he is part of our life. This little 7 lb Yorkie bundle brings us so much joy and happiness. This past week, to say I have been under the weather - would be an understatement. But this little guy stayed close by with limitless licks, cuddles, and total unconditional love. Even when I was not able to take him outside for his walks ... he adapted and waited for Daddy to let him out. Then it was back curled up with Mommy.

While our Dolce has the run of the house and is always with Mommy (a Mommy's boy he is) our Stella gives us so much unconditional love and is equally sensitive to how we are feeling. When I have been recoverying from past surgeries - she would be so quiet and watched carefully as I would make my way back and forth to the bathroom. She loves being indoors even though she is a 45 lb Yellow Lab ~ and you will find her hanging out in her house ~ even when we leave the crate door open.

Stella is 7 years old and has been with Mr. G since she was a pup. She is Daddy's girl through and through (he can play with her rough ..as I have to be careful with my arm, balance etc.) But, she keeps me company in the mornings after her morning outing ...sitting at my feet at the breakfast table, thats our time together.

For those of us who do not have children (especially not by our choice) these little and big bundles manage to capture our hearts and take away some of the emptiness. Filling our day with a reason for being ~ often it is thoughts of them and how much they need that helps me get through the dark days that creep in for me, out of nowhere.

Love to hear how your little Furbaby has changed/added to your life?

I have lots to say - Dolce Speaks

Hi my name is Dolce, I’m a 1 year old, 5 ½ lb, male Yorkie. You know my Mommy as A High Heeled Life, and let me tell you, she has lots of those things that I’m not suppose to chew – I think they’re called “shoes” – but to me they look really interesting and chewable. I never see her wearing most of them, something about “Falling Off” of them now.

The other day I heard Mommy telling her friend that she has been “blogging” and finds it very therapeutic. She enjoys reading posts by her new Blog Friends, “I find them very inspiring and motivating, and everyone is very supportive of each other’s challenges be it daily life challenges or major life detours”, I heard her say.

That got me thinking; I have lots of challenges everyday – like; when I want to go outside and no one opens the door enough so I can easily dart out; or when I want to stay outside and no matter how I try to hide – someone always seems to know where I am; then there are the times that I get free and no one just lets me wonder off … they come after me , making me have to run further down the yard; sometimes they bribe me with treats and show me sticks – and I always fall for it. There is more … Mommy always buys me sweaters, shirts and paw-wear; and when people see me they always have to come up and rub my snout as they say how “cute” I look. Ok, I do look quite handsome – I guess I’m a bit of a metro doggie - but must they always rub my snout? Sometimes their hands do not smell very good. I also would like to be given treats when I want them; have Mommy, Daddy or visitors play with me and throw my toys all the time; I’m really good at retrieving them. See I have so much to share with you. So with Mommy’s help I’m going to be sharing with you my weekly adventures and misadventures.

These are some pictures of my friends at camp.

And this is me …

See you Friday!
