It's that time of summer

When you realize only a few more weeks before
the sun starts calling it a day by 5 p.m.

So at the High Heeled Life home we have been busy doing this...

We won't be getting on one of these...
 because we decided to go on a...


Hoping there will be lots of these signs along the way...

    My last road trip...if you can count it as a road trip (was about five hours away) to Sanibel Island from East FL. This was about two months ago! Just me and the other half :)

    Dearest Celia,

    Our last road trip was in April, to Miami for visiting a dear friend and some romantic vacation... Also along the road we visited with another friend. A very blissful trip with fond memories and relaxing for the two of us. It is great to break up a ten hour long trip with a stay at our favorite Hyatt Place; a friends visit and then with the Hyatt Summerfield Suites.
    Wish you a lovely time as well. Indeed, the summer is winding down already... so you better use it's warmth and light while you can.

    Just got back a week ago. Unplanned, but oh soooo fab. Packed up my Beetle and grabbed my HS daughter for 10 last summer days at the beach! Sixteen and a half hours driven straight through, singing with the iPod and gabbing! We had a blast and made some very treasured mother/daughter memories!

    Isn't it a road trip every time we come out to your place?

    We drove to NYC in February of 2009...before that was Vermont in September of 2008.

    My last TRUE road trip was with my mom. I had a business trip and we went to Pensacola and Mobile/Fairhope... but after work was done - we drove to New Orleans and Then Back to Bham.. Back to Macon to drop her off - then back to Bham.

    Yep... too long.. but so much fun!

    We spent a couple days in Niagara on the Lake last week ... it's about a 90 minute drive so counts as a road trip :)

    Enjoy! Bring along plenty of cool tunes for your road trip and have a great time. We've had a number of them this summer - long and short. I think I've had my fill, that's for sure. :)

    my mom and I just came back from NJ and Philly road trip. She flew down to meet me a friends in NJ, and I drove down after my yoga retreat in Lennox MA.

    It was a good time, finding old towns, and seeing beautiful dutch county.

    It has been quite a while since I have taken a road trip. Sure I have driven four hours to/from Tallahassee a few times this year, but I drove straight through without stopping to check out some of the little towns between here and there. I used to love taking road trips with no specific destination in mind - just get in the car and go - stopping whenever something caught my attention.

    I'm jealous!
    It has been far too long for us. I would say - 2 years before we got married. La/SanFran/Vegas/Ariz = amazing.
    With kids/babies, long car rides = not so much!

    Have a fun, safe trip! Is little Dolce coming along?

    Each year we take a 5 hour trip to Chicago and 2.5 hour trips to my parents lake house (we're leaving on Monday).. otherwise, we travel by airplane.

    I've done many road trips in Europe; Switzerland, France, Spain etc. But my dream is to do one in the US, and Hubs wants to do one in Canada. I give you a wave when we pass by. Enjoy your road-trip Sweets!

    My last one was in July when we went to Spain from Lisbon, to attend the marriage of my Hubby's nephew. It was fun and I drove a lot (not a very usual thing).

    Me and v were supposed to go on a road trip TODAY to the upper Peninsula here in Mi. But ... things changed and we couldn't go. So disapointed!!
