Things are changing in the garden ...

Peonies are one of the first spring flowers to break the drabness of winter in the garden. With their glorious burst of colour, their tight buds full of promise for a bountiful bloom.

Their beauty is brilliant and the vivid colours are beyond striking against the green of the leaves. If one has taken the time to provide the proper support, the elements provide the right amount of sun, rain, and warmth, they will grace us with their beauty for a few weeks.

Well the peonies are long gone. Maybe a bloom or two is still hanging on. But there is lots of new darlings and thinks happening in the garden as summer starts.Along with the changes in the flower beds ... there are other changes that start to take place.

These changes do not go unnoticed by my little furbabies, who are on alert.

This little guy was trying to do his best to go unnoticed....just outside our dinning patio door.

and his friends were a little wiser and stayed close to the gardens.

Butterflies are everywhere ...

The rose garden and butterfly garden are coming alive. Each day on my walks with the furbabies we see a new bloom.

from the lavender to the lilies to roses ...

Above are some of my favourite places to stop for a little rest and enjoy.

All the changing in the garden, got me thinking -How we can learn from the garden about life. Sometimes everything is vibrant and blooming.

While other times you are left with all the debris of what was once brilliant. During these times it's important to remember that there will be vibrancy and your days will once again be filled with glorious blooms.

Wishing you glorious blooms!

Energy Healing

While traditional medical therapies and medicine helped me to achieve a certain level of healing after my accident, I continued to feel blocked ~ unable to move forward.  Not being one to accept - "that is all we can do, or let's try this other pill" - I started asking my Angels for guidance. Information about Chakras, Reiki, Reflexology and other energy healing modalities started popping everywhere. From television to radio talks to articles in newspapers and magazines. Clearly this was the missing link.

I started searching for people who were skilled in this area ~ and started incorporating Reiki and Reflexology into my medical therapies. The changes for me were subtle at first (I have heard for some people it can be quite sudden) and overtime we started to notice that my traditional therapies seemed to have greater effective

For the past couple of years I have been combining energy healing with my regular medical therapies. Most recently last year I added a holistic chiropractor  who uses the KST technique and have been able to reduce the amount of pills I have to take.
KST Chiropractic ~ What is it? How does it work?

(Dr. Rogini has made a difference in my life)

I even manage the occasional good night's sleep, now. I'm also learning to better accept my circumstances and who I am. For the first time since my accident I know there is a wonderful future waiting for me to step into and start living it.

Sadly the majority of medical insurance companies do not cover the costs for alternative medicine ~ including energy healing.

Seeing the results energy healing has had in my own recovery I'm currently learning more about Chakras and the role energy plays in healing, so that I may be able to share with others things we can do on our own that will help to restore our energy, in upcoming blog articles.

One of the reasons I love energy healing is that it does not involve pills or physical exertion and "too much" energy healing is impossible, as energy will redirect itself to areas where it is needed. Energy healing can be beneficial with stress and anxiety reduction, relief from colds, help with pain management and minimizing side effects from medical treatments.

It is important to note: While energy healing  encourages the body to draw upon its natural healing abilities, it is intended to complement traditional medical therapies - NOT to replace them. Used in combination with traditional treatments, energy healing may help you to experience greater results from traditional medical therapies.

Afternoon Tea Make it Part of your Day ...

“Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves – slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future. Live the actual moment. Only this moment is life.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh

This is the 6th installment of 6 in the series 30 minutes minutes for you with a cup of tea. Thank you for reading along and for all the wonderful comments and emails on how this series is getting you to stop for 30 in your day.

Make Tea Part of Your Day...

Tea has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child living in Europe, I drank tea as it was something that children were permitted to have (over espresso/coffee), it made me feel grown up. My Grandmother made the best tea.  Once I moved to Canada to live with my Parents, I have fond memories of sitting with my Mother and guests sipping tea and eating toast (yes, I did dunk the toast... I know , I know), to me it was the best treat!
