Welcome to Summer

There is something about the arrival of summer that brings smiles and happier moods to all!

Perhaps it's that we can actually wear flat shoes and be in fashion ....

Enjoy our daily dose of vitamin D from the actual sun ...

or perhaps its the endless list of things to do outdoors that has both children and adults singing a happy tune.

Picnics ....

Backyard BBQs

Camping and camp fires...

The spontaneous road trip ...

Concerts in the park...

What are some of your favorite summer time activities?

Happy WEEK-END!!!

  1. Dearest Celia,
Tea in our gazebo and dinner al fresco on our balcony... Of course a good swim and walk in nature or on the bike.
Hugs and happy weekend to both of you.

  2. I want an outdoor kitchen like the one pictured above! We're working on one but that one looks amazing. Gimmie, gimmie, gimmie!!

Let's see, what are our summer outdoor activities? Swimming in the pool, sitting around listening to oldies, grilling & eating. Alpha Hubby lives in the swimming pool in the summer. I read my Kindle on the covered deck and paddle around enough to get my 15 minutes Vitamin D.

  4. I just love this time of year with the whole of summer ahead. I just hope we get some warm days in the uk to enjoy picnics and barbecues. Eating outside is always a special treat.

  5. Unfortunately the days are still rainy here in Holland. I haven't seen much of Summer yet. I can't wait for BBQ's, endless hot Summer nights, cheery people, ice cream, spending time with friends outside... Soon. *sighs*

    Much love,
    Daniƫlle

    1. Oh my friend.. I can't believe it's still raining in Holland. We were there in mid-May and that's all it did too!! Hope you get some sun-filled days...xo

  6. Ahhh, summer.
I think my favorite part is the lack of routine. Kids home, NO LUNCHES (AMEN!!!!!) lazy days, and those blessed afternoon naps.
    And of course, vacation!
