Improve Your Communication with a Balanced Throat Chakra

Welcome to Over a Cup of Tea with Celia M.
Chakra Series ~  5 of 7

This week I have chosen this beautiful Versace bone china teacup for its blue colour which is the same color of our fifth chakra known as the THROAT Chakra.

Fifth Chakra - The THROAT Chakra ~ aka  Vishudda, is located at the base of the throat. The Throat Chakra is paramount if you want to improve your self-expression, communication, and independence.

If the throat chakra becomes unbalanced, you tend to not speak much, and you probably are introverted and shy. Not speaking your truth may block this chakra.  Severe trauma can cause this chakra to close, making it very difficult to express emotion.

Symptoms of Imbalance:
Emotional : Poor communication, can’t speak up, creative stagnation, can’t resonate/out of sync with others, poor coping skills, feeling isolated.

Physical : Head cold, flu, sinusitis, sore throat/hoarseness, stiff neck, thyroid problems

Three simple ways to help balance your THROAT Chakra:

~The fifth chakra works with sound and vibration to help open up your throat chakra sit in a comfortable position (cross legged or in chair) and repeat the mantra HAM ...Repeat the mantra over and over at a rhythm that feels pleasant to you, going slow if you want to calm your chakra and faster if you want to stimulate the throat chakra.

Steep a cup of white tea buds and leaves, cherry, hibiscus, spearmint, peppermint, maple syrup bits blend and repeat the following affirmations as you sip your tea:

I am speaking my truth with ease
I am comfortable with speaking my truth
I honour and respect others who speak their truth
I am filled with gratitude that my throat chakra is open
I am supported in speaking my truth
I am able to easily express my thoughts

Sit comfortably, feet flat on the ground, close your eyes and visualize a blue disk/ball spinning at at your throat - feel the vibration and motion of it spinning gently breath in and out - with each breath the disc/ball becomes stronger and spins at a consistent speed smoothly and balanced.

Benefits of balancing and opening the THROAT chakra: ability to express our feelings and communicate freely. When we are able to communicate freely with out worry of judgement from others we are able to live more authentically. A balanced and open throat chakra is especially helpful for those with careers depending on communication and self expression.

  1. Dearest Celia,
A balanced throat chakra is great but dealing with jet-lag when having to produce a video, using your transcript that you produced the day after arrival is not easy... Got it done and funny enough; wearing a new blew sweater top with turtle neck!
Hugs to you and happy Saturday evening and happy Sunday!
