Afternoon Tea and Fresh Cut-Flowers

Stopping for a cup of tea in one's day is a brilliant way to calm the mind...

Today I'm enjoying my tea from a ceramic crafted teacup ... ah Paris, yes it is always a good time for the city of lights.

Today I'm also enjoying ... a slice of apple pie from the local bakery in town.

And since the gardens are not quite in bloom due to the long winter and extra cold spring... a bouquet of fresh cut flowers will add a little brightness to me tea corner.

Looks like I'm not the only one who enjoys my tea corner. Dolce and Gabbana are enjoying watching the squirrels, chipmunks, ducks, birds and the concessional bunny and turkey.

Where do you sit and enjoy your afternoon cup of tea?

Love and Light,

  1. You have a lovely spot to enjoy your tea, and cute tea cups. Your bouquet looks similar to the one I posted on my blog. The flowers last a long time.

  3. Dearest Celia,
Your last photo made me laugh out loud. You write 'to my tea corner...' but it is obvious who too claims that as their special or even favorite corner!
Lovely post with great photos and you sure do have a great bakery. That is one thing I miss here, in Europe you can pick up such special pâtisserie and share with friends or family over tea or coffee. The sweets offered here contain way too much sugar and there is not that great variety to choose from. So you better make your own.
Where do we take our tea? Many places, in the living room from my favorite chair with side table, or from the kitchen table some times, or veranda, gazebo or balcony. It all depends on the time of year and mostly on the weather.
Hugs to you and keep enjoying that special ritual as we both do!

  4. Hi Celia,
Your spot to enjoy tea is so cozy. I love a pretty view. I usually take my tea in the living room where I can enjoy the quiet. Soon the maple tree outside the window will be leafy and I can swag back the curtains for a better view. I love trees in the springtime! Your Paris teacups are very cute. Thanks for coming to tea and have a beautiful day.

    Hugs,
    Sandi

    Lovely tea time, peach pie...yum!
Your ceramic tea cups are fab!

  8. Where can I get a chair like that, covered in cute doggies???? I try to sit either on my front porch, my back deck, or the living room in a corner I'm building to be MINE (hey, it's a Man Cave and I need to carve out at least a corner for moi!). LOVED the peaceful post and fresh cut flowers! My peonies are in full bloom so I'm a happy camper!!
