A Day at the Stables

Autumn is the perfect season for enjoying time outdoors ~ not too hot, not too cold. Living in the countryside autumn is also the time of the year when many horse farms open their stables to the public and equestrian lessons begin. I think the outfit below is perfect for watching lessons in action or an afternoon taking in the treasures of the museum or art gallery in the city.

  2. Dearest Celia,

Those Jodphers look like the ones I have from Bergdorf Goodman in a wool cashmere. Love to wear them with my Italian riding boots. We were lucky for living near the leather factory in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. Before moving back to the USA we did splurge on boots, shoes and some bags.
    Hugs to you,
    Mariette

  7. Hello dearling ~
As you might remember, it is not unusual at all to see ladies ( and men) walking around town dressed for riding.
I was so glad to find a fabulous pair of riding boots right after we arrived in BA and I still wear them, they look brand new. Because I never actually go riding lol
