Morning Garden Walk and Mailbox Surprise

Welcome to our garden ... Mother Nature's canvas is coming alive with brilliant colours!
There is so much to see that a tea mug is perfect
for our walk. Now that we have tea in hand lets get started.

Our first garden stop will be at the Peonies Garden ... these beauties are still going strong with fragrance and blooms. We'll snip a few to enjoy inside.

The Memory Garden still has a few columbine ...

Over at the Angel Garden ...things are quickly changing.

The Butterfly Garden has some feather friends living in one of it's bird houses. The mother bird is very cautious when approaching with food; if she spots us, she will circle around until we are out of range, before darting in to feed her waiting babies.

The Rose Garden is coming onto a glorious choir of colours, textures and fragrance!

I'm so happy that you came by to join me on my morning walk. The sun is now heating up and its time to go inside and enjoy another cup of tea.

OHH..... look the mail has arrived and the postman brought a petite cadeau for moi! It is from my dear friend Mary author of Hope Filled Living. Thank you my friend ... your gift is most thoughtful and arrived on a day that I needed a little sunshine.
For my tea loving friends ... the tea mugs are from Global Design Connections ~ Okato Williams, they are ceramic and perfect size for strolling in the gardens with. The teapot was handcrafted in Italy. Both items were a gift from a dear friend, who also shares a passion for gardening and tea.

Friends really our the flowers in our garden of life!

  3. Thank you for such a lovely walk through your garden, Celia! I can almost smell the flowers! Why, thank you, I will have a cup of tea! ;) Thanks for stopping by to see me today, and leaving your sweet note, it was such a pleasure! Yes, I'm so thankful that my husband is handy ... I seriously don't think I could have done this home if I'd have to hire every little thing out. Sounds as if you guys REALLY had a big project by taking it right down to the studs! The kitchen is the biggest project at our house. My husband actually built the cabinetry for our last one (pretty painted white) and he will for this one as well ... it's my way of making sure I don't get a kitchen with anything like particleboard in it. I want it to be solid wood. Congrats on the accomplishment of many projects at your place! Love it! xoxo

  4. I enjoyed the stroll through your gardens Celia and agree that a big mug for tea is called for. The tea books you received look interesting as does the rest of the goodies from the parcel.
    Keep well,
    Hugs,

  5. Dearest Celia,

What a beautiful roses and peonies you show us here. That is bliss for walking with tea in hand through your own garden. With feathered residents having their babies in the sheltered homes you provided them with. The Angel Garden is pretty too.
But the gift surprise of beautiful books for you from Mary is special. I just went over to her blog for mentioning how much such gesture is appreciated.
Love to you and enjoy the official start of summer.

  21. Your entire garden is just lovely, but those peonies really caught my eye! And I love your birdhouses. We have a new post in the garden, and I'm thinking I need a birdhouse on top of it, so your garden gave me some ideas in this regard--thank you! Have a great weekend!

  23. Ahhh, here you are!! I should've checked here first, dummy me!! Oh, what a beautiful post, the walk in your garden was so enticing I had to read to the end. Now I'm going to make a cup of tea and go back to see it again!! Love your blog! I once had quite a collection of high heeled shoes that I wore to work everyday, I gave them up (except one red pair I couldn't part with) for this wonderful life in the country!! I hated working in an office and will never regret leaving that dreadful lifestyle!! I still love high-heels, but my feet say "are you kidding?" I'm afraid nine years of walking barefoot have given them a little too much freedom:) Oh enough of my babbling, I'm so glad you found our blog, I'm looking forward to sharing more country living tales and photos with you!!
