LISTEN UP ...the Universe is Speaking ...

Though there are many things that I am grateful for and truly know I have been blessed with. This knowledge and acknowledgement does not prevent the darkness from taking over on occasions. As up beat as I have been trying to keep my writing (posts) I must confess that things have certainly not been good. I seem to have misplaced my rose-colored glasses for looking at life.

When one loses their rosy-colored glasses it is easy for the darkness to take over and feed the fears, that lay just beneath the surface.

But the universe, tries to send us messages... be it by a song, a word(s) that keep repeating throughout the day, something you read, it's endless the way messages are sent ...

When I started off to post today... it was going to be something along the lines that I would be taking a little blogging break. But as I clicked through the internet these are the things that kept coming up...

Quotes found here

It appears my rose colored glasses have somehow dropped into my computer... and helping me to see that I have much work to do.

So, my friends I will not be taking a blogging break (though I may post a little less), I will be focusing on how to keep moving forward creating a me and a life that fits. I will be focusing on being more inspirational not just by words and small actions ... but by example and actions...

I hope that the quotes that have turned my day around will also (if you are having a dark day or just need a gentle reminder) turn your day around!

I am thankful for not only the great things that today is inspiring me to move forward, but most of all I am Thankful to be given the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

  2. Moving out of ones comfort zone is hard work . Sometimes it seems much easier to fall back into what we know instead of what can be new and exciting. You've been through a lot...you've come a long way...and you will continue to move forward because you have the courage that it takes to do that!

Sometimes its good to take a break... to sit back and breathe for a while.

  5. Hi Celia,

I got hooked on your blog awhile ago and read it everyday.
My son had a severe head injury and internal injuries
that almost killed him a year ago next month. My journey
has been long but you keep me going.

I also have a disabled 37 year old daughter with spina bifida
and today I just felt like I couldn't go on anymore. People alsways
tell me how strong I am, but inside I am falling apart.

Thank you for your blog this is the first time I have every responded
to anyone's blog but I had to let you know how perfect your blog was
    for me today.

I am now off to face my day.

    1. Debbie, I can't begin to put into words, how your comment touched me. Knowing that my detour (and sharing my ups and downs)is helping others is what truly keeps me wanting to get out there (and on the blog) to bring awareness to all the "invisible disabilities" that people face. They can be physical, emotional and mental ~ people need to know that there is no flashing NEON sign , but they are real.

I also want people to understand how difficult it is for the loved ones who take care of us. I'm trying to gain the courage to share this (and I am confident in time I will) as it will mean sharing the darkest parts of brain injury.

I want to say "stay strong" , but you already are ~ though like all of us you are human and sometimes forget that you need support and help too. That is when keeping the faith and belief help. Also know that your children picked you for their mother ... because they knew when they were merely souls that you would be there to help them through their journey in this life on earth.

Many, Many, Blessings to you and thank you... with admiration, Celia xo

  8. Celia,

My heart goes out to you. This post brought tears to my eyes as I just returned from a visit with my father who is entering the later staged of dementia. As I return to my normal work routine, I can't help but wonder if I will end up like my dad.. It seems the older I get the more stressful and complicated things get. THIS - in part is why I started my blog. Keep going as you have a wonderful spirit and know that you have support when you need it.

    1. Leslie; Thank you for your wonderful and encouraging words. I will add you and your family to my "Pray For..." journal. BlogLand is a wonderful place and so many wonderful people (like yourself) make going through our respective life detours a little easier... it's amazing the power of WORD(S).

I can't imagine the fears that you must go through each day, the "unknown" is a very scary thing. When I find myself trying to guess what may or may not happen ... I do try to remember all the worrying is not going to change the course of the path and lessons I'm to learn... so I try to leave it in HIS hands, and keep going. Blessings, xo

  9. Honey, things might seem dark to you but from here, "looking " at you, I see light.
You are surrounded by it and you bring warmth and love with you wherever you go and whatever you do.
We all get down about this and that, some superficial and some tragedies that would flatten anyone ! it is all part of living.
I , for one, could do with the least amount of sad and as much happy as I can get and I wish the same for you.
    besos, C

I often think of you, check in on the blog and wonder how you're doing. I know that there must be good and bad days...hoping that the good outweigh the bad and that you can find peace. You're amazing. An inspiration. Truly.

  11. Celia,
You are always an inspiration to me! Feel free to explore the depths of yourself and step away...you will come back richer with fresh insight to share with us. I bought an old book recently at a tag sale and found this little bookmark in it that reads, "God is the wellspring of our good. We give thanks for the ever-increasing abundance that flows freely to us and from us to bless others." I am thanking him in advance for filling you with everything you need to carry on and do the work for which he has called you.
    Much Love,
    Mary

  12. I think sometimes you don't realize how much you bless others just by being yourself. I can't believe you don't know how much you are already very inspiring and bring peace into other people's lives. Never underestimate the importance of beauty in life. Your tea parties keep me focused on slowing down, peacefulness and beauty, and helped me through a rough time taking care of my mother before she died - and especially afterwards. YOU are already where you are aspiring to be - inspirational!

  13. Dearest Celia and Mr. G,

Wow, this is so powerful and it is even more strong with the echo from a deep valley... Yes, you will get to the top again, never give up your dreams and don't let anyone drag yo u back into the valley of life.
THANKS a million for all you do for others, for being a true AMI, a precious FRIEND with a capital 'F'. For writing from the heart, for supporting others on their valley journeys upwards. You are an ANGEL to many and yes, we understand that even angels can feel 'heavy' at times. Know that we love you and care about you. How is fur-baby Gabbana doing? Has big brother Dolce accepted her lovingly, and also Stella?
Hope the sun is brightening your days soon and that spring will land you at a different level of joy.
THANKS for your sweet parcel, will one day show it in my blog... Right now too much going on in our lives too.
Love and tight hugs to you sweet friend,

    Mariette

This too shall pass....your light is far too bright my friend.

But faith, belief and inspiration from wonderful friends near and far ... is such a strong power. I hope that all is going better with your grandmother and that you will see her soon. 15. Dear Celia,
As always, I wil leave your blog encourages and strengthened to go out and do what I need to do. Your sweet letters have cheered me in my times of stres. SO happy you are not taking a blogging break, but yes, please do pace yourself. It is sometimes very difficult to keep up.
Stay positive and know that you have many firends out there praying for you. The good days are on their way back to you and your Mr HHL. I just know it!

  16. Celia,
You are such a positive person and I know your difficult journey has helped many, (including me)! It's impossible for any of us to be upbeat 100% of the time. When the clouds come in just allow yourself to feel whatever you have to feel. It will pass. I think it's better than pushing it down and not acknowledging any pain that is there.
I know due to your accident there are health issues. I have chronic neck pain which I feel sometimes affects my quality of life and prevents me from doing things I want to do. With that said, it's hard to stay positive when your body is not operating at 100%. When it needs rest... rest, don't feel guilty.
Here's to that gray cloud passing soon!!

    Much love,
    Deb xoxo

  17. Celia, my angel...... you did it so well, you listen with your heart the messages the Universe was sending you!!!! Not to give up!!!
It's so easy not to listen.....
It's so natural feeling that everything is soooooooo difficult!!! You know I know.... I've been there and from time to time I'm also there.
Listen the Universe, but take your path on your own time... if you need to slow down do it, with no guilt, the Universe will understand....

Tons of love across the sea with sunshine kisses and sea hugs.

  18. Hi Celia. I lost my rose-colored glasses last week, too and I watched Anthony Robbins Breakthrough series on YouTube. Suddenly my problems paled into insignificance. I strongly recommend it. I defy you not to cry throughout the programme, but you will be bursting with the zest for life after. If you wish I can e.mail you the links-just shout Angel xx

You are such a blessing and one of my favourite people. Fill your life with as much positivity as possible ... and block out the negative people. They are toxic and not worthy of your time.
    Hugs.

  28. Celia, Life isn't always easy, as you well know...and indeed, I think everyone knows that. I am involved in a ministry where I write notes of encouragement to persons with serious health or other problems. Sometimes I quote a scripture that might provide that encouragement, such as ...In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33 Another I like is We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8,9
Big hugs to you today! Beth
