Welcome to Over a Cup of Tea with Celia M. - #5
Being in the city is bringing back wonderful memories of not only living in the city but great times I had with my friends in this home. I can't wait for the upper floors to be complete so we can split our time more easily between country and city.
Do you live in the country or the city? and would you change it?
Hugs and Blessings,

This week's tea is taking place at my home in the city. Actually in the lower flat of the house which the contractors have just completed (they are now focusing on the upper two floors). These beautiful flowers were the thoughtful gesture of Mr. G. to help brighten the flat and bring some nature into the space. Something that surrounds us at home in the country.
Since the only real furniture in the flat is in the bedroom and a writing desk in the living-room area, I have set tea at the counter.
Some yummy maple butter and caramel spread - which my sister brought for me for a Trading Post near her cottage on the French River. The fabulous thing about being the city is that there are so many wonderful bakeries ... so what is in that white bag you may be asking?
Pecan, chocolate chip scones ...
The teacup was a gift from my friend Janice - a few years ago. The stamp reads: Bella Lux, Gracie Bone China, Porcelaine Bone China, made in China. I love the generous size handle and the thumb rest. The various shades of pink roses are a cheery addition to tea. And I especially love the rose on the inside of the teacup.
Scones ready to be coated with scrumptious maple butter and caramel ....
There you have it my friends, afternoon tea ...
For today's tea we are enjoying a favourite ... Marie Antoinette tea from Laduree in Paris.
