Mother's Birthday Celebrations continue at The CN Tower ...

In November I was blessed with a visit from my mother, who lives 4 plus hours from Toronto. She had never been to The CN Tower, so that made it on my list of "must show mom". And why not keep celebrating her birthday ...with lunch at 360 in the Tower.

While the afternoon tea celebration was a mother and daughter event, Mr. g joined us for lunch.
Our lunch started with Hearts of Romaine salad, poached shrimp cocktail, Mapleque oysters, and we all chose the Canadian AAA Beef Tenderloin for our main, and shared the following sides: French beans amandine ,Yukon gold mash potatoes, Yukon gold frites with truffle aioli, rapini with Parmesan cheese.

Mother was happy to see her birthday celebration continued ...
have I mentioned her sweet tooth? *smile*

While we enjoyed our fabulous lunch .. we were treated to amazing bird's eye views of Toronto.

After lunch we explore and I think my Mother's expression says it all about her thoughts on walking and looking down from the glass floor. Your's truly and Mr. G (who is a little scared of heights - I was surprised he stepped onto the glass floor) tempted fate.

Love you Mother!!

You are the curator of your life so make it luxurious,

  1. How cool is this? I know she had a wonderful time with you (and Mr. G!). I agree with her, I don't like walking on glass grated floors high above the ground. The lunch looks fantabulous and I wish I could visit you there and go to all these wonderful places you highlight. Hmmm - road trip (and sky, smile).

  2. Dearest Celia,
WOW, that was a spectacular lunch event for your Mother's Birthday!
We've been several times in Toronto but even though we could see the CN Tower from our hotel room at the Hyatt Regency on King, we've never been up there!
So still things on our list.
No, I'm not afraid of heights and neither is Pieter but we always have to trust the technology and craftsmen that built such floors!
    Hugs and blessings,
    Mariette

  3. How fabulous that you could treat your Mummy? Went to the CN Tower years ago and had dinner there (that is the one that slowly rotates isn't it?) A gorgeous place for a gorgeous celebration xx
