What I Wore to Speak at Grip Ltd.

The weather has finally started staying above zero and even hitting double digits. The sunshine beckons one to get outside ~ but the crisp feel in the air means an over coat (even a light weight one) is necessary.

On this day I was speaking for Canadian Blood Services at an advertising company Grip Ltd., so this more casual attire was perfect. Here I was (caught) nibbling a little dark chocolate before speaking.

Thank you to all the wonderful folks at Grip Ltd. who came out to learn about Canadian Blood Services and to hear my story.
It was great to see all the spots filled for your up coming Grip Blood Drive!

By 2016 Canadian Blood Services will need to attract 100,000 NEW blood donors annually to keep up with hospital demand. Please help save a life and get out and donate today.

  1. Dearest Celia,
Wow, you KNOW how to dress sassy and in such a way that it looks most flattering. Jacket long enough for slimming you down and the same effect do the bootleg jeans have. They work lenghtening and therefore slimming.
You looked very professional and also very much at ease. Hah, you sure love that dark chocolate; I have to eat mine still but that will not last for long anymore.
Touching are those photos you share and the more proud you can feel of yourself now!
Hugs and love to you both.

  6. Celia, so glad you dropped by and introduced yourself because I just found another tea loving friend, as well as a high heel loving friend. By the way, perfect outfit for this occassion. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart for you service that you're doing about promoting the giving of blood. My husband as Aplastic Anemia and wouldn't be alive without others being willing to donate unselfishly of their blood and time.
    Looking forward to following you.

Celia, seeing the pictures of your accident recovery pulls at my heart strings. What you've been through my friend is a horror, but you've turned it into 'just another challenge' along life's path. Keep moving foward my friend!!!
