With the swirling wind, freezing rain and just plain ugly cold outside ~
Inside with a cup of hot tea is the perfect place to be.
Surrounded by books on tea ... and tea parties!!
Tea is extraordinary ... in how it brings people together.
I'm planning a very special tea, and can't wait to share more with you in future posts.
Some fresh fruit , Almond Roca - butter crunch toffee with chocolate and almonds...
These market tulips are perfect for a touch of spring on such a gloomy day.
No tiny teacup today, instead a solid Lenox (a gift from my dear friend Nan) "tea"mug is perfect to hold Original Chai by Pukka. A blend of organic black tea gently spiced with cinnamon, cardamom and ginger.
This pillow sits on our sofa and is one of my favourites.
Looking at it's inscription and thinking of all the blessings we have in our friendships and family (as they can be friends too!) always warms my soul.

There is something about tea that is so comforting on a gloomy day. Love your sofa and that pillow! xo
ReplyDeleteCute pillow! Can't wait to see pics of your tea party!
ReplyDeleteHi Celia, I love your tulips, and the tea sounds good. I enjoy chai. I'll bet you are enjoying your tea books!
ReplyDeleteI saw the pictures of the tulips and it brought a little color to my gloomy, dreary day. And the pillow is the perfect invitation for all your friends to gather.
ReplyDeleteDearest Celia,
ReplyDeleteOh, you created the perfect surroundings for sipping a lovely cup of tea... Our Indian friend Jyoti makes delicious Chai tea and she does make her own blend, with some milk and I go to heaven... Stay warm and enjoy these dreamy moments! And the quote on the pillow is so true by Ralph Waldo Emerson: The Ornament of A House Is The Friends Who Frequent It...
Hugs to you,
Mariette
What a perfect tea...surrounded by books and a delicious cup of chai! Sounds like a perfect afternoon to me!!
ReplyDeleteI love a good book and chai tea, as well. Loving your afternoon!!! Enjoy your week.

Hello dear Celia,
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful collection of tea books and I adore your pillow. Don't you love how a bouquet of tulips brightens up a room? Yours are very pretty. I can enjoy tea in a cup or a mug, especially this time of year. It's the end of January and soon springtime will be knocking on our doors; can't wait! Hope you are feeling well these days. Thank you for joining me for tea and have a delightful week, my friend.
Blessings,
Sandi
Hi Celia,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice comment and hug! It was appreciated!
Your blog is always so beautiful! I wish I could have tea with
you! Your photos are wonderful! Hugs from me! Linda
A natural ambiance of beauty is what you display on this blog of yours. All the things you've picture in health and any physical form is naturally perfect. Your talent as a writer and a photographer made exceptional. I hope you may appreciate my suggestion which is a tulsi herb that is perfect for the ambiance you display.
ReplyDeleteOh, so much beauty going on in here... Your pretty Lenox tea mugs, books, pillow, and I adore your market tulips. I'm looking forward to seeing my tulips bloom in the Spring. Unfortunately, time didn't allow me to plant new ones last fall but the bright pink are still my favourite.
ReplyDeleteStay warm during the strong windows. We're having 70+ plus temps the past couple of days with t-storms today. I assumed tornadic activity and my meteorolgy instructor said 'absolutely'. Yikes!
Wishing you a fabulous week, mon ami! xoxo, B
Isn't that the truth! It's been so awful out...makes you want to hide away and sleep. And I am so with you on your comment re: getting away down south for a few days. I won't be seeing any sun till early April soonest though. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteMy cup of tea has not left my side in days, it seems to be the only thing that can really warm body, mind and soul! Love the Lenox tea mugs!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your special tea! Marvelous collection of tea books and I love the pillow. Think I'll curl up with a kitty and a cup of tea (maybe a mug in honor of your Lenox mugs). Happy Tea Day!
ReplyDeleteCelia this is so lovely.
ReplyDeleteYes a cup of tea with a friend is so comforting and soothing!
Love your pillow!

I'm feeling all cozy now ... that's what I think of when I think of tea, it never fails to be comforting and cozy, I love coffee too and drink it everyday but often a coffee is picked up and in the car while I'm on the go ... tea is more about ritual, I think, about taking the time to enjoy the finer things in life. Love the pillow!!! Thanks for stopping by, lovely. Have a wonderful second half of the week! xo ~S

I do not seem to do well by drinking normal tea’s as they give me headaches. Now, I do well with Green tea.
