Rainy Day in the Country

It's raining and gloomy in the countryside AGAIN!! (going on 4 days)
I know great for the gardens. But I sure miss the sunshine and being outside!

So, today I will ....

Stay in bed a little longer and read ....

lounge and catch up on some letter writing ... (even though Canada Post is on strike)
my letters and pracels will be waiting by the front door ready to be posted, when the strike ends.
Enjoy a warm cup of tea, while visiting old blogfriends and meeting new ones...

And after a day of lounging... what is a girl to do?

relax, enjoy a nice bubble bath and listen to some music...

Hope there is sunshine in your corner of the world and that you are out enjoying it!
If it's raining where you are, take the day to relax and rejuvenate...

What is the weather like where you are?

  1. Sunny here in the desert, but not too hot yet. So sorry you have rain, I'm not a fan of rain in the winter, but in summer it makes rather annoyed. Hopefully it will clear up soon, sounds like you're having quite a relaxing day, enjoy !

  3. Good morning most beautiful one!

Oh dearest, dreams are what keep us alive. Even chasing them keeps us young and interested and the goal should never become faded or melted, according to that fabulous quote about the ice cream! I have no idea who said that, but what a visual....push, strive and thrive on your commitment to making sure you try..that is what I am doing. The journey is probably more fulfilling than the actual attainment, for once I hit my goals, I move on to the next!!!

BLESSINGS TO YOU SWEET ONE! Anita

  8. Gosh, that sounds like a great day! Here in E. Tn., sunny, 82 degrees, and low humidity (42%), so it feels very nice out today!

  9. Dearest Celia,

Well, wish we could share your rain. Here the roses are giving up on life and one window box with the double cascading petunias is already turned into hay. Regardless of giving them water; the sun is frying them.

    Lots of love,

    Mariette

  22. Today was the first day of sun after a week filled with rain. It's amazing how the sun coming out affects my mood/energy level in such a positive way. Sometimes, rainy days are needed because they tend to force us to relax and slow down, which can be a good thing! Love you quote up the top about crying/mascara running... too cute..xo

  27. After a beautiful (and highly desired) rain yesterday, today was muggy and HOT. It cooled up fairly quickly this evening, enough to sit outside on the deck. I love reading anywhere - in bed, on the deck... anywhere!
