Just in time before the day ends...
You, like the link on your FB Page that I shared with you about a similar situation of a young woman in Australia, are such ROLE MODELS to many others. Thanks for being YOU!
Hugs to both of you,
MarietteMariette VandenMunckhof-Vedderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16877699174880945452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8806321148001582068.post-16891590528564084522013-10-28T20:56:32.941-04:002013-10-28T20:56:32.941-04:00August 28 is a date my sister calls her second bir...August 28 is a date my sister calls her second birthday. It is the day she received a bone marrow transplant as she had stage 4 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She had been through so much already as 9 months prior to her diagnosis of cancer she had given birth to a little girl who passed two hours later. When initially diagnosed with cancer she was given a 10% chance of living. At that time too she was pregnant. She was unable to maintain that pregnancy through the cancer treatment. The only chance was a bone marrow donor. It is said that siblings are the best chance for a match. There are 7 of us. No one matches her or I but the other five there is a match. There was a very generous young lady who donated for the second time in her life (the first had been for her mother 5 years prior). My sister is now 12 yrs out from that bone marrow transplant. She is the mother of a beautiful 10 yr old that she and her husband adopted and is such a wonderful part of our family.

You are correct that if you can make it through the struggle will make you stronger at the other end.

I wish you continued blessings as you continue on with what life has to offer for you.Suburban prephttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18395691728192716148noreply@blogger.com
