Let it rain outside ... I'm inside where it's warm ... and afternoon tea is being served!
When it's cold, damp and rainy outside ~ a fireplace is a welcoming sight.
And afternoon tea at Shangri-La was just the place to have a meeting with a friend on this dismal rainy afternoon in Toronto.
Savory sandwiches, warm oven baked scones,
and a delightful selection of tea pastries ...
paired with one of the over 70 tea selections = Bliss on a rainy day.
The dragon motif tea china is just lovely ...
dress: Aritzia (last season) - Babaton Collection; shoes: Hilary Radley
And a little earring bling ...
I purchased these from Luxuria a couple of years ago
and always get wonderful compliments when I wear them.
They added a little bling on this rainy day!
If you are in Toronto over the Easter weekend I highly recommend Shangri-La's Easter Afternoon Tea ... visit their website for complete afternoon tea menu details HERE.
outfit details: white shirt - D&G (a few seasons back); tan skirt - MaxMara (Holt Renfrew) (old); brown knee boots - Marc Fisher (old)
accessories: earrings - Luxuria; Watch - Philip Stein;
bracelets - old; umbrella - Pasotti (gifted by sister) same here

Dearest Celia,
ReplyDeleteYou both looked very polished and classy and yes, what a perfect escape from the rain outside. It lifts up your spirits for being in such an ambiance, complete with fire place. Delicious afternoon tea that no doubt was also food for the soul.
Hugs,
Mariette
I want a sitting area that has a fireplace like that. So beautiful! You look amazing - tiny waist, beautiful face, LOVE your hair (!), so polished and continental looking. Ms. Janice looks amazing, too. Very pulled together, sexy and comfortable in her skin. You guys rock!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an amazing tea with a fabulous seat! Loving that skirt on you!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a lovely way to spend an afternoon! I wish I lived in Europe so I could do tea time every weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit is perfect for the occasion. Love the elegance of that midi skirt
